The Golden Eagle Classic is an FMBC Regional Event held at Fleming Island High School. Bands attending our festival will be eligible to qualify for the FMBC State Competition under the FMBC rules for qualification. The Golden Eagle Classic will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 2019!

All bands in attendance will receive a participation plaque. Rating trophies will be awarded to all bands with a Superior or Distinguished rating according to 2019 FMBC rules. Placement trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each class. We will also award “Best in Class” for: music, visual, general effect, percussion, auxiliary and Drum Major. There will also be trophies for 2nd Runner Up, 1st Runner Up, and Overall Grand Champion.
Participating bands will be classified according to FMBC rules. Bands will not be permitted to move up or down in class but they may choose to be in the Exhibition class for ratings only. 2018 FMBC class structure includes ALL students: winds, percussion, auxiliary and Drum Majors.
Class 1A — 1-45 Students
Class 2A — 46-69 Students
Class 3A — 70-99 Students
Class 4A — 100-145 Students
Class 5A — 146+ Students
Show Bands — No Restrictions
Qualified adjudicators will be providing assessments in the following captions: Individual Music, Ensemble Music, Individual Visual, Ensemble Visual, GE Music, GE Coordination, Percussion, Auxiliary and Drum Major. All participating bands will have the opportunity to speak with the judges during critique.
